NEHRU MONTESSORI H. SEC. SCHOOL

Nehru Montessori Higher Sec. School was founded in 1964 by the Children Education Society Burhanpur.(Late)Mrs. Bandra Kuldip was one of the first staff members. Sisters were invited to run the school in 1965. Three sisters came from Kerala including sister Sanitas. The society members who founded the school were Mr. Raje, Mrs. Dina Godrej, Mr. P.M.Lodha, Mr. R.G.Gurjar, Mr. H.Lodha, Dr. M.R.Hawaldar, Mr. Ramanlal etc. Mr. M.R.Hawaldar is still the president of the society and Mr.Dinesh Ratilal is the present vice president.
Sister Joshna was the first principal, Sister Sanitas took over in 1969 to 1992. It became a fulfledged H.Sec. School in 1975 and is a co-education school which ranks top in Burhanpur.It brings good merritts. At present Sister Keerthana is the principal. It has over 1600 students and more than 70 staff members (teaching & non-teaching).
