Great but you do not give details on how to book for a holiday, prices, hotels, visa details, wedding possibilites at the Embassy. You need to consider that tourism will be necessary to provide Oman with a vital income to keep the Omani's employed when they take over the jobs presently employed by ex-patriots. Otherwise not bad.

As an admirer of the Sultanate I found your pages very attractive though somewhat superficial even for world school children looking for information on Oman. That is with the exception of the Sur page which had more depth. Perhaps some links to other Omani related sites would be useful. Pages tend towards holiday brochure type, any deny modernity to a fasinating country.

I was a visitor in Sur in the spring of 1984 and observed a large dhow under construction by the old methods. I saw only hand tools, no electric drills, etc. It was very interesting and I am sorry to hear that these traditional skills are not being passed on. It seems that Sur itself has changed very much in recent years.
