We met Cassia in Uberlandia, at Go to the Nations
Conference '97. She is the lady who was one of the main witches in our city, and was
rescued by Jesus.
We were surprised of how young she is. Cassia and her husband are attending regularly
the church, always bringing friends to the services. Many of them are coming forward in
evangelistic appeals (we do it every gathering). In front of her house, where the coven
was, there is now a huge banner written: 'JESUS WON THIS PLACE'. Praise God!
Talking to her two weeks ago, she said that she wants to be a missionary in Africa. She
learned an African Dialect when she was involved in witchcraft, and now Cassia wants to
preach the gospel in the tribe where this language is spoken.
Cesar, Flavio and myself, together with Brian and Ruth Mills, prayed with her for her
life, family and pregnancy. When Ruth Mills shared about the Father's care and love in her
life, tears came to her eyes. Please pray for her spiritual strengthening. She keeps
receiving phone calls from witches, saying that she will loose everything that she has.
She is under financial pressure, as she lost her source of income. But despite all the
troubles, she is happy, full of peace, and her smile shows how secure in the Father's love
her heart is.
