ARISE EUROPE! - 15
Nations Together for Jesus in the UK!
About 450 representatives from Brazil, England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Northern
Ireland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, Uganda, United
States of America, and Wales gathered in Leigh, Manchester for ARISE EUROPE!, the second
gathering of Nations in the UK promoted by Go to the Nations Link.

The presence of 180 Intercessors from Brazil brought a
special colour to the gathering. They are from many different denominations spread all
over the country, and came to demonstrate their gratitude to the European Church for
sending missionaries to share God's love in South America.
 |
| Channel 4 covered the
event, and a programme about missionaries coming to the UK should be broadcasted in the
spring next year |
One of the strongest moments of the gathering was when
Cirenio, a native Brazilian Indian shared that his tribe (the Terenas) was evangelized by
an English missionary who lived and died amongst them. Now, from the 32,000 members of his
tribe, about half are born again Christians. He said that he wanted to thank and honor
those who brought salvation to his people. It was a very moving moment when Brian Mills
and Amaury Braga, who organized the coming of the intercessors, prayed with him.

The emphasis of the Gathering was the partnerships being established between Brazilian and
British Churches. Every session a Brazilian and a British church were called to the
platform together with the Brazilian missionary involved, giving a testimony of how the
work is going on.

One of the best examples of how the vision works was
shown through what is happening between Christian Life Centre in Hereford and the 9th
Presbyterian Church in Belo Horizonte (photo below). These two churches are working
together to send Alan to Germany. The credibility coming from this togetherness is opening
amazing doors for him in that country.

After the conference, the 180 Brazilian Intercessors were divided into groups going to
Edinburgh, London, Cardiff, Belfast and Dublin, and then to 12 cities in the Continent. We
will be also publishing their reports in this web page.
One of the challenges of prayer
during the conference was risen when three of the intercessors were kept by the
immigration authorities at Heatrow Airport. They were not convinced that they intended to
fly back to Brazil after the event. After an intense time of prayer, lots of phone calls
and faxes, they were released to travel with the group. Again we saw the commanded
blessing when brothers (and nations) are together in unity.
